What it is

Mincecore is a raw, punk-rooted style of grindcore named and defined by Belgium’s Agathocles, who have played it since the mid-1980s. It strips grind down to short, primitive, riff-driven bursts with a heavy crust-punk influence and a strong DIY ethic. The lyrics are overtly political — anti-fascist, animal-rights, and anarchist — and the whole approach prizes message and attitude over polish. It is grindcore as protest music.
