Az Akela zenekar az 1990-es évek egyik legnépszerűbb thrash/heavy metal együttese volt Magyarországon. Nevük Rudyard Kipling A dzsungel könyve című művének egyik szereplőjéből, a farkasvezér Akelából ered.
